Depok, West Java – The Industrial Engineering Program at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) conducted a benchmarking visit to the Industrial Engineering Department at Universitas Indonesia (UI) on Friday, December 6, 2024. This visit followed a formal request from USU’s Industrial Engineering Program, which was positively received by UI’s Industrial Engineering Department.
Led by the Head of the Industrial Engineering Program, Ir. Aulia Ishak, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM., the USU delegation arrived at the Poerwoto Room, UI’s Industrial Engineering Department, and was warmly welcomed by the Department Head, Dr. Komarudin, S.T., M.Eng. The visit featured various beneficial activities for both institutions.
The visit aimed to strengthen relationships between the institutions and enhance the knowledge and insights of USU’s students and faculty on the latest developments in industrial engineering, particularly at UI. It is hoped that this visit will inspire new ideas that can be implemented at USU.
Dr. Komarudin expressed his appreciation for USU’s visit and hopes that such benchmarking activities will continue in the future to strengthen collaboration between universities. Meanwhile, representatives from USU conveyed their gratitude for the warm welcome and valuable opportunities provided by UI.
This benchmarking visit is expected to positively impact the development of industrial engineering programs at both universities and contribute to the advancement of science and technology in Indonesia.
