The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), conducted a Workshop on AI (Artificial Intelligence) Utilization in Teaching for Lecturers on Tuesday–Wednesday, December 10–11, 2024, at the Smart Classroom, 3rd Floor, Faculty of Engineering USU.

The workshop was opened by the Dean of the USU Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. Fahmi, S.T., M.Sc., IPM, and attended by lecturers from the USU Faculty of Engineering. The event featured Dr. Eng. Ade Candra, S.T., M.Kom. as the guest speaker.

The workshop aimed to enhance lecturers' understanding of AI's potential, its applications in the teaching and learning process, and its impact on curriculum development and research. Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) technology have had a significant impact across various fields, including education.

In addition, the workshop was organized to provide insights into AI utilization for lecturers and students, as well as how this technology can be applied to improve the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process and academic productivity.
