Roadmap

The Research Roadmap of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Universitas Sumatera Utara (2021–2025) is focused on advancing knowledge and technology to support innovations in materials, energy, and sustainable manufacturing. Research priorities include material and structural engineering, renewable energy conversion such as solar, hydro, wind, and geothermal, as well as energy efficiency and cooling technologies. In addition, the production engineering field emphasizes green machining, non-conventional manufacturing, and foundry optimization to meet industrial demands. This roadmap aims to deliver innovative, efficient, and environmentally friendly solutions for the advancement of science, industry, and society.
