Description

The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), is pleased to announce the Fast Track Study Acceleration Program from the Bachelor's (S1) to the Master's (S2) degree level for the Odd Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year.

This program is intended for undergraduate students of the Faculty of Engineering who meet the academic requirements and wish to pursue a master's degree through a more accelerated and structured pathway.

Program Timeline:

  • Registration at the respective Study Programs: May 18 – June 20, 2026
  • Document screening and selection: June 20 – 24, 2026
  • Submission of selected applicants' names to the Faculty: June 25, 2026
  • Interview selection process: June 29 – 30, 2026
  • Announcement of successful applicants: July 24, 2026
  • Course registration (KRS) will follow the Academic Calendar of the 2026/2027 Academic Year, with program implementation commencing in the Odd Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year.

General Requirements:

  • Applicants must be active undergraduate (S1) students of the Faculty of Engineering, USU.
  • Applicants must be in their sixth semester and have completed a minimum of 110 credit units (SKS) by the end of the fifth semester.
  • Applicants must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.25.
  • Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency equivalent to a TOEFL ITP score of at least 450 or an IELTS score of at least 5.5.
  • Applicants must obtain recommendations from three lecturers.
  • Applicants must prepare a plan for developing their undergraduate final project into a master’s thesis.
  • Applicants must obtain approval for educational funding from their parents/guardians and/or other sponsoring parties.
