Announcement of Academic Advising for Semester B, Academic Year 2022/2023, Undergraduate Program in Chemical Engineering

Description

The Chemical Engineering Program at Universitas Sumatera Utara announces the advising schedule for Semester B A.Y. 2022/2023. Advising will be conducted offline from January 30 – February 3, 2023, with students required to bring their transcripts and complete KRS under their advisor’s guidance.

General Information:

  • Advising period: January 30 – February 3, 2023 (offline, at the Department of Chemical Engineering USU).

  • Curriculum:

    • Cohorts 2016–2021: KKNI 2019 Curriculum.

    • Cohort 2022: Independent Learning – Merdeka Belajar (MBKM) Curriculum.

Student Requirements:

  • Bring transcripts (KHS) from Semester A A.Y. 2022/2023, and Semesters A & B from 2021/2022, 2020/2021, and 2019/2020.

  • Complete the KKM form according to transcripts before meeting the advisor.

  • Prepare KRS based on the Academic Advisor’s guidance, with credits limited according to the previous semester GPA.

  • Students must retake failed courses (E grade) and re-register courses with D grades if the total exceeds 8 credits.

KRS Submission:

  • Once approved, KRS must be entered into the Academic Portal, printed in triplicate (for Department, Advisor, and Student), attached with a recent 3x4 photo, and signed by the Academic Advisor.

  • Submission deadline: February 3, 2023, via the Department service desk.

Additional Rules:

  • Advising outside the scheduled period will not be served and will result in a 2–4 credit reduction.

  • Students must wear proper attire; t-shirts and sandals are prohibited.

  • Forging an advisor’s signature will incur a penalty of 4–10 credits reduction.

PKRS (Course Registration Revision):

  • Conducted during the official revision period with advisor’s approval.

  • Revised KRS will be submitted collectively by the advisor to the Department.

  • Revisions outside the official period will result in sanctions (2–4 credit reduction).

  • Semester B lectures begin on February 6, 2023.
